Adam Cates

Adam Cates is a director/choreographer, educator, author, and producer with creative credits that include Anastasia, A Gentleman's Guide to Love & Murder, and Anything Goes on Broadway; operas and concerts at Lincoln Center and The Juilliard School; national tours including The Wizard of Oz and Tommy Tune's Doctor Dolittle; and regional productions for major theater and opera companies across the US. He has taught on the faculties of Pace University, Marymount Manhattan, BDC, Steps, TAPS, and Commercial Dance Intensive. Adam is the author of The Business of Show and The World According to Snoopy, and he holds an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts. He is currently the head of education and development while also producing for the Pioneer Center for the Performing Arts in Reno, Nevada. 

Adena Ershow

Originally from West Orange, NJ, Adena grew up training at The Joffrey Ballet School, and was a Dance major at the Somerset County Votech. Adena continued in higher education at Wagner College, where she received a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre Performance and was a member of their nationally-ranked dance team. Since then, Adena has gone on to perform at sea and on land. She played the role of Rumpleteazer in CATS on the Oasis of the Seas, and has worked at the Tony Award winning Paper Mill Playhouse, in their production of Mary Poppins, choreographed by Tony-nominee Denis Jones. Most recently, she played the role of Val, and understudied Cassie in Denis Jones’ newly choreographed and award winning production of A Chorus Line at the Tony Award winning Signature Theatre. Adena is a member of the Actor’s Equity Association.

Andrea Mychaels

Giana Forgione

Lauren Alagna

Lauren is ecstatic to be returning to Dancers Inc. this season! A professional dancer and singer based in New York City, Lauren’s performance career spans theme parks (Universal Studios Florida, Six Flags Great Adventure), cruise ships (Holland America Line, Regent Seven Seas), and regional theaters (Arizona Broadway Theatre, Fulton Theatre, The Palace Theatre, Axelrod Performing Arts Center, Post Playhouse) across the country. Her favorite credits include An American in Paris and Catch Me If You Can (Arizona Broadway Theatre), Polly Baker in Crazy for You (Post Playhouse), Judy Turner in A Chorus Line (The Palace Theatre), Ensemble/Mistress Understudy in Evita (Fulton Theatre), and being featured in last season's Neiman Marcus Holiday commercial choreographed by Emmy nominated choreographer, Al Blackstone. Lauren has also worked alongside New York City and Los Angeles based choreographers such as Marc Kimelman, Melanie Lewis-Yribar, Chip Abbott, Billy Griffin, Al Blackstone, among many others to develop new and innovative shows for New York City based production company RWS Entertainment Group. Lauren is excited to see all of the talent these dancers will bring to the stage this season

Morijah Thomas

Morijah Thomas is a mover and creator currently based in South Jersey who passionately loves

to share her experience of dance with others. She attended University of the Arts and graduated

Summa Cum Laude with a BFA in Dance with minors in Art Therapy and Music in 2020. While

at UArts she had the honor to perform in works by Doug Varone, Robert Battle, Jesse Zaritt,

Andrea Miller, Katie Swords Thurman, Annie Rigney and Sidra Bell. Morijah was accepted to

the UArts School of Dance trip to Europe in 2018 where she had the opportunity to take class in

Paris at the Centre National de la Danse with Gala Moody and Daniel Condamine, and in

Brussels at the Compagnie Thor with Clinton Stringer and Dominique Duszynsky. Thomas

continues to use her multidisciplinary training and knowledge inside of dance and is looking

forward to sharing it this season with Dancers Inc.

Tommy Scrivens

Tommy Scrivens graduated from The Ohio State University with a BFA in dance. He has danced with Parsons Dance, dre.dance, Kristin Sudekis Dance, American Dance Machine for the 21st Century, demonstrated for the Verdon Fosse Legacy LLC, and was a founding member of marInspired. Recent highlights are the FX show Fosse/Verdon and the pre-Broadway run of Roman Holiday. He’s currently an adjunct professor at Marymount Manhattan College and was recently named the inaugural position of Legacy teacher for ADM21.

Tim Johnson

Tim Capodice is thrilled to be returning for his second season judging with Dancers Inc. Tim is an actor/comedian based in NYC with a Bachelor’s in Dance Performance from Oklahoma City University. In his career, Tim has been lucky enough to work with renowned directors and choreographers such as Al Blackstone, Bill Burns, Denis Jones, Josh Rhodes, and Richard J. Hinds. His favorite credits include: Paper Mill Playhouse, Asolo Repertory Theater, BCEFA’s Gypsy of the Year, HBO, The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Broadway Comedy Club, and Greenwich Village Comedy Club.

Matt Gibson

Matt Gibson Broadway: Gypsy. Off-Broadway: Help (Shed NYC), On a Clear Day & Finian’s Rainbow (Irish Rep), The Underclassman (Duke 42, Prospect Theatre). Regional: Over 25 AEA principal roles including A Connecticut Christmas Carol (Bob Cratchit) Goodspeed Musicals, Hello, Dolly! (Cornelius Hackl) Maine State Music Theatre, Ragtime (Willie Conklin) Barrington Stage, and Austen’s Pride (Bingley & Wickham u/s) 5th Avenue Theatre. Film: Wonka (to be released in 2023).

Melissa Strain

Melissa Strain is a commercial theatre creative based in NYC. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Dance and Kinesiology from Indiana University. Her favorite credits include In The Heights (Warner Bros.), The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (Amazon Prime), Guys & Dolls (Fireside Theatre), Elf The Musical (Argyle Theatre), American Horror Story: Freakshow (FX), Roots (AMC), The Righteous Gemstones (HBO), Porsche, MGM, and Southwest Airlines! Melissa is the Director of Operations for the internationally renowned Commercial Dance Intensive, a 10 year member of Dance Masters of America, and proud to be represented by LDC Artist Representation.
